Terms & Conditions
- We DO NOT offer refunds on exchanged or repaired ECMs. However, all ECMs come with a ONE-YEAR exchange warranty from the purchase date.
- You must contact us immediately if you require a warranty exchange for your ECM.
- We DO NOT provide any refunds for shipping and handling costs.
- If your core is deemed “bad” (not communicating, burned, or physically damaged), you are responsible for the return shipping of the ECM. Alternatively, you can sell your bad core to us for $50.
- To honour the warranty policy, security seals MUST remain intact and show no signs of tampering.
- Programming is included in the exchange or repair price. However, if you fail to send your core in first, we cannot guarantee the accurate programming of parameters or features specific to your vehicle.
- We are not responsible for incorrect feature or parameter programming when original ECM parameters are unattainable at the start.
- We will not be held liable for labour, repairs, towing, or additional expenses incurred.
- The warranty will be voided, and core charges may apply, if the due core is not returned within 10 business days.
- Cores and warrantied ECMs must be repairable. They need to communicate and must be free from physical damages such as burns, water, or oil damage to qualify for core fee refunds.
- To benefit from warranty services, the core must be presented.
- If you encounter issues with an exchanged or repaired ECM, please send it back for warranty processing. We may send out another programmed ECM the same day you contact us. However, we will place a HOLD on your credit card until we receive and diagnose the initial ECM. The HOLD is a “pending” amount in your account and will be released as soon as the original ECM is returned and diagnosed.
Warranty: Terms & Conditions
THIS WARRANTY COVERS:
- ECMs that are neither burned, abused, water-damaged, nor tampered with.
- ONE YEAR of valid repairs or exchanges for a current ECM.
- ECMs with security seals intact and unopened.
THIS WARRANTY DOES NOT COVER:
- Burns caused by extended wiring or shorting issues.
- Programming, calibrations, or flashing of the ECM.
- Damages from external sources, wiring problems, labour, towing, or work conducted by other repair shops.
Resolution of Disputes
If a dispute arises between you and CATA Electronics, we aim to resolve it in a neutral and cost-effective manner. Texas State laws govern this agreement in all respects, applying solely to agreements entered into and performed within Texas, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
If you have any claims or disputes, they must be resolved by a court located in Tarrant County, Grand Prairie, Texas. You agree to submit to the personal jurisdiction of these courts for the litigation of all claims or disputes.
